Geneva State Bank uses an additional layer of security for our online banking customers called Device Print (formerly known as PassMark). This new security feature is designed to protect our online banking customers from fraud and identity theft. Device Print consists of three parts: an image, a pass phrase and three challenge questions that are only known between you and Geneva State Bank. It also uses information from your computer to help us confirm that it is you logging in from your computer and not an unauthorized person trying to log in from an unknown location.
Once established, we will always show you your image and pass phrase before asking you for your password. Once you verify the image and pass phrase are yours, you will know that you are using a legitimate Geneva State Bank site and not a site that “looks” like ours.
The first time you log on to online banking, you will see the following screens. Follow the instructions to sign up and create your security information.

To confirm that you are accessing the legitimate Geneva State Bank website, type www.genevastatebank.com into your web browser. When you arrive at the site, enter your access id and click on Submit. After the initial sign up, you will always see your image and pass phrase before asking for your password. Once you verify the image and phrase, you will know that you are on a legitimate Geneva State Bank site. Also, if we do not recognize your computer, we will ask you to answer a challenge question to verify your identity.
If you do not see your image and pass phrase and are not asked a secret challenge question (if logging in from an unrecognized computer), DO NOT enter your password. This may represent a fraudulent website. Please report this immediately to us at csr@genevastatebank.com.
