Device Print

Geneva State Bank uses an additional layer of security for our online banking customers called Device Print (formerly known as PassMark). This new security feature is designed to protect our online banking customers from fraud and identity theft. Device Print consists of three parts: an image, a pass phrase and three challenge questions that are only known between you and Geneva State Bank. It also uses information from your computer to help us confirm that it is you logging in from your computer and not an unauthorized person trying to log in from an unknown location.

Once established, we will always show you your image and pass phrase before asking you for your password. Once you verify the image and pass phrase are yours, you will know that you are using a legitimate Geneva State Bank site and not a site that “looks” like ours.

The first time you log on to online banking, you will see the following screens. Follow the instructions to sign up and create your security information.

To confirm that you are accessing the legitimate Geneva State Bank website, type www.genevastatebank.com into your web browser.  When you arrive at the site, enter your access id and click on Submit.  After the initial sign up, you will always see your image and pass phrase before asking for your password. Once you verify the image and phrase, you will know that you are on a legitimate Geneva State Bank site. Also, if we do not recognize your computer, we will ask you to answer a challenge question to verify your identity.

If you do not see your image and pass phrase and are not asked a secret challenge question (if logging in from an unrecognized computer), DO NOT enter your password. This may represent a fraudulent website. Please report this immediately to us at csr@genevastatebank.com.

Security Tokens

Why use Security Tokens?
A token is a small, connectionless device that generates a One Time Password to use each time you log in to Business Banker Online Services.  This password changes every 32 seconds for your protection, which helps to ensure that your information is secure and that you are protected from fraud and identity theft.  With tokens, we’re essentially adding another layer of security to protect your information as well as your online banking accounts.  Not to mention, tokens guard against ever-increasing email scams such as phishing or pharming.

For more information on how to obtain your token, please contact your local Geneva State Bank.
